FAQ
Common questions about treatment, admission, family involvement, residential recovery and safety at Safe Zone Foundation.
Questions
Clear answers before admission.
Use these answers as a starting point. The right plan still depends on the person's health, substance use pattern, risk and assessment.
Ask a Private QuestionIs enquiry confidential?
Yes. Share only basic details first: name, city, concern, approximate duration and urgent safety risk. Highly sensitive records should be discussed carefully on call or in person.
When is admission needed?
Admission may be considered when alcohol or drug use is harming health, safety, family life, work, money, dignity or repeated attempts to stop. Suitability is discussed after basic assessment.
Does every person need detox?
No. Detox needs depend on substance type, amount, duration, withdrawal history and health. Severe withdrawal symptoms need qualified medical assessment or hospital care.
Can family be involved in recovery?
Family involvement is often helpful for history, boundaries, communication and aftercare planning. The exact role depends on the person's needs and consent.
What is the difference between detox and rehabilitation?
Detox focuses on physical stabilization and withdrawal safety. Rehabilitation focuses on routine, counselling, behaviour change, family support and relapse prevention.
What should we do in an emergency?
For seizure, unconsciousness, overdose, breathing difficulty, severe confusion, violence or self-harm risk, contact the nearest hospital or 112 immediately.
Still unsure?
A short call can make the next step clearer.
Ask about alcohol treatment, drug treatment, family counseling, rehabilitation routine or admission suitability.
